Designer, Apparel Graphics

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Designer, Apparel Graphics at Dickies looks a little like this.

Reporting directly into the Sr. Manager, Concept Design & Innovation, this role will contribute to the creative vision and execution of global product lines across Men’s, Women’s, and Workwear categories. This role is ideal for a versatile designer with a strong grasp of cultural and consumer insights, capable of translating them into compelling graphic narratives that resonate with our diverse audience. You’ll play a key role in shaping the visual identity of Dickies apparel, collaborating across teams to deliver innovative, authentic, and trend-forward designs.

  • Concept and develop graphic narratives that align with Dickies' seasonal creative direction.

  • Translate consumer and cultural insights into compelling visual storytelling.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Concept Design, Product, and Marketing.

  • Present design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Influence and contribute to the overall creative vision for Dickies apparel.

  • Ensure timely delivery of design projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Balance creativity with feasibility, ensuring designs meet price points and production requirements.

  • Stay current on design trends, visual culture, and emerging technologies in graphic design.

  • Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud and digital/3D tools to develop and refine design concepts.

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5-7 years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing excellence in design craft, innovation, and storytelling.

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.

  • Experience in apparel product creation and graphic application processes.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and familiarity with digital/3D design tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to inclusivity and diverse perspectives.

Hiring Range:

$82,080.00 USD - $102,600.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
