The Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Francis Hospital, an achieved Magnet® hospital, contains 46 private rooms that can care for 52 babies, as early as 23 weeks old. Our department has two couplet rooms in the NICU where qualifying moms and late-preterm babies can be admitted together for their care. We care for neonates and infants up to 44 weeks of age and we do not get any overflow patients. Our department offers great teamwork, opportunities for growth, advancement of skills and also extracurricular activities with the team. We look for candidates that we can mentor into charge and leadership roles, and that share our passion of caring for babies and their families, and for making a difference in the families’ lives during a stressful time.
