Durango Cancer Center:
The Durango Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital provides radiation oncology services to patients across a 200-mile region. Conveniently located in the same center as medical oncology, the radiation oncology department offers seamless coordination and efficient treatment planning. The interdisciplinary team includes radiation therapists, nurses, physicists, radiation oncologists, dietitians, and social workers, all working together to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using modern technology tailored to the needs of our rural community. Team members are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and patient support. The department consists of 12 core staff and up to 20 team members, depending on the day. Located in the vibrant, outdoor-oriented town of Durango, the center benefits from a strong, collegial team culture and a community rich in recreation, dining, music, and cultural opportunities.
