Skills
- Production experience with a systems language (Go or Rust)
- Designing and operating distributed systems at scale
- Experience defining and measuring SLOs/SLIs (availability, latency)
- Observability and monitoring tooling knowledge
- Building reliable data pipelines and storage for metrics/telemetry
- Good written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration
- Security and high-availability best practices for infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate SLO/SLI collection, visualization, and alerting tooling
- Build and maintain reliable, secure, highly-available distributed systems and data pipelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams and product managers to understand service behavior and SLO requirements
- Integrate SLO tooling into automated release and verification processes
- Create and maintain SLO documentation, runbooks, and availability reporting
- Drive improvements in testing, monitoring, and release practices for SLO infrastructure
- Support enterprise customers and internal teams with SLO integration and troubleshooting
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant continuing education or certifications are a plus
