Platform Engineer, Product Architect
Skills
- Expertise in Kubernetes deployment strategies, cluster lifecycle, and container orchestration
- Production experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
- Proficient in Python or Go for tooling and automation
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure platform services and architectures
- Containerization experience (Docker/Podman)
- Experience designing declarative interfaces and platform baselines
- Experience operating in secure, clearance-required environments (TS/SCI)
Responsibilities
- Lead prototyping and proof-of-concept efforts to validate architectural approaches and technologies.
- Design and maintain a coherent product baseline that serves as the ‘source of truth’ for platform implementations.
- Implement and promote GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and declarative interfaces across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Architect scalable systems for container orchestration, cluster lifecycle management, and secure deployments.
- Collaborate with mission teams and program tech leads to converge implementations to a common baseline, provide education, and ensure compliance.
- Develop high-quality software aligned with product vision and deliver production-ready solutions on schedule.
- Work with Chief Product Architect to track work, define roadmaps, and ensure alignment across consuming programs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field OR equivalent experience (4 years experience may substitute)
- Continued professional development in cloud-native technologies and platform engineering
