General Manager

A leading property management firm seeks an experienced General Manager to lead operations and financial performance for a large, complex commercial asset or portfolio in Miami. The role requires a seasoned leader with strong lease and financial knowledge, hands-on vendor and tenant management experience, and the ability to act as owner representative while developing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team.

Skills

  • Commercial property management experience (office/retail/industrial)
  • Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
  • Knowledge of leases, contracts, tax and construction fundamentals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel); familiarity with Yardi, MRI, Kardin preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Vendor and contract management
  • Ability to travel to properties and work after hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for owners and tenants; oversee tenant onboarding, move-ins/move-outs, and tenant relations
  • Manage financial activities including rent/CAM/OpX recovery, AR collection, invoice approvals, and monthly reporting
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports, annual operating and capital budgets, and variance analyses
  • Oversee lease administration and approve lease setups and changes in coordination with lease/ accounting teams
  • Direct vendor sourcing, procurement, contract compliance, and vendor performance management
  • Perform regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance, alterations, and capital projects
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills/training
  • Lead, coach, hire, and develop property operations staff; set schedules, assign tasks, and deliver performance reviews

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of education and equivalent experience accepted
  • Real estate license where locally required
  • CPM or RPA designation preferred or candidacy accepted
