The Visual Arts team exists to support the mission of Christ’s Church of the Valley by developing high-impact video content that communicates the heart, values, and vision of the church. The Sr. Filmmaker is a key creative leader on the team, responsible for driving the visual storytelling process across key ministry areas. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, artistic excellence, and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
Essential Job Functions
Serves as a senior creative contributor, working closely with the Marketing & Visual Arts Sr. Director and Team Leads to shape the visual narrative of the church through conceptual development, storyboarding, scripting, and production planning.
Leads on-location and studio shoots with advanced proficiency in cinematography, lighting, audio capture, and grip equipment.
Crafts compelling, high-quality edits—including color grading, sound design, and motion graphics—to meet the highest visual and storytelling standards.
Partners with various ministry leaders to guide projects from initial concept to delivery.
Provides creative leadership and mentoring to junior team members, setting a standard of excellence in both craft and collaboration.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in film or media-related field; or at least 5 years of experience in video production.
Proficient in the following programs:
Davinci Resolve as a primary non-linear editing and color grading platform.
Adobe After Effects as a motion-graphic and visual effects platform.
Adobe Photoshop as it pertains to the integration with motion graphics and video production.
Experience with Cinema 4D and Blender 3D software is preferred. Familiarity with Unreal Engine for 3D environment design is a plus.
Proficient in the basic operation of video cameras, specifically Red Komodo, as well as field and studio lighting.
Basic knowledge of audio production as it pertains to the integration with video and motion graphics production.
Ability to take a project from beginning to end, i.e.; concept to production - to edit - to final.
You must be organized, a creative thinker, and highly productive, working in a fast-paced environment.
