Propósito del Puesto
Brindar instrucción teórica y práctica en técnicas de carpintería, ebanistería o instalación de Gypsum Board, fomentando el desarrollo de habilidades técnicas, pensamiento crítico y estándares de seguridad en los estudiantes. El profesor(a) será responsable de guiar el aprendizaje en ambientes de taller y aula, alineado con los objetivos académicos de la institución.
Responsabilidades Principales
- Diseñar, planificar y ejecutar clases teóricas y prácticas conforme al currículo aprobado.
- Instruir sobre el uso seguro y eficiente de herramientas manuales, eléctricas y maquinaria especializada.
- Enseñar técnicas de medición, corte, ensamblaje, acabado y montaje de estructuras en madera o paneles de yeso.
- Supervisar proyectos individuales y grupales, asegurando la calidad y cumplimiento de normas técnicas.
- Evaluar el desempeño académico y práctico de los estudiantes mediante criterios objetivos.
- Promover buenas prácticas de seguridad industrial y uso adecuado de equipo de protección personal.
- Mantener el orden, limpieza y funcionamiento del taller o laboratorio asignado.
- Participar en reuniones académicas, capacitaciones y actividades institucionales cuando sea requerido.
- Mantenerse actualizado en tendencias, materiales y tecnologías del oficio.
Qualifications
- Título técnico o universitario en carpintería, ebanistería, construcción ligera o áreas afines.
- Experiencia comprobada en el oficio (mínimo 3 años), preferiblemente con experiencia docente.
- Conocimiento de normas de seguridad ocupacional (OSHA u otras aplicables).
- Habilidad para comunicar conceptos técnicos de forma clara y efectiva.
- Compromiso con la formación integral del estudiante y la excelencia académica.
