Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As the Events Program Manager, you will be the driving force behind Blue Origin’s internal events, creating engaging and seamless experiences that connect our team to our mission. This role masterfully blends strategic event planning with hands-on technical direction. You will be the Engineer in Charge for our events program, responsible for the end-to-end management of all-hands meetings, executive briefings, and special broadcasts. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure their vision is technically achievable, lead production teams, and operate complex AV systems. Your primary goal is to deliver memorable and high-impact events that inform, inspire, and unite our organization through innovative and polished productions.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal clients (leadership, HR, engineering) to define event goals and messaging. Act as the technical consultant to ensure an event's objectives are technically achievable and executed to the highest standard.

  • Live Event Direction (Technical Director): Serve as the Engineer in Charge for live and hybrid events. Lead technical rehearsals and direct the live broadcast, including real-time vision/camera switching, FOH audio mixing (A1/A2), graphics integration, and livestream management.

  • Speaker & Content Readiness: Coordinate with presenters to prepare content, conduct technical rehearsals, and provide coaching for on-camera presence.

  • Post-Production & VOD Management: Provide post-production services for major events, including multi-track recording and editing. Manage and maintain our internal Video-on-Demand (VOD) library, adhering to content retention policies.

Technology, Training & Infrastructure (30%)

  • Technical Readiness & Support: Ensure all event spaces and production systems are maintained, configured, and ready for high-stakes events. Provide expert-level troubleshooting to quickly resolve technical issues in a live environment.

  • Strategic Roadmapping: Research, evaluate, and recommend new AV and production technologies to enhance our event capabilities and improve the audience experience.

  • Team Development & Training: Conduct training sessions to develop the capabilities of team members and event operators, fostering a collaborative, team-first mentality.

  • Project Management: Manage AV vendor relationships and lead the AV integration for new facility build-outs or space improvements, from design through implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct experience producing and technically directing large-scale, high-impact corporate events.

  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of live production technology, including livestreaming software (Wirecast, OBS), live video switchers (Ross Carbonite, Blackmagic, Tricaster), and a strong understanding of professional digital audio mixers (e.g., Allen & Heath, Yamaha) and audio ecosystems like Q-SYS and Dante.

  • Expertise with modern streaming and video transport protocols, including NDI, Dante, SRT, HLS, RTMPS, and WebRTC.

  • Solid experience with video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.

  • Experience leading the technical design and setup for AV in event spaces.

  • Proven ability with enterprise video collaboration platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.

  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to calmly and quickly resolve technical issues as they arise in a high-pressure, live broadcast space.

  • Adept at translating a creative or business vision into technical event requirements and executing it flawlessly.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
