Responsibilities: Drive design vision and strategy across multiple products; lead end-to-end design for complex user journeys; partner with product and engineering teams; advance the design system; mentor and develop junior designers.
Skills: Deep expertise in product design with experience in system-level design, multi-surface experiences, and strategic influence; mastery in information architecture, interaction design, and visual systems.
Qualifications: 7+ years of product design experience, proven success in leading design initiatives, exceptional communication skills, and a portfolio showcasing strategic design work.
Location: This position is hybrid, allowing for flexible work arrangements.
Compensation: $181000 - $311000 / Annually

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll shape the next generation of BetterUp’s platform and design language. You’ll set the vision for how our ecosystem of products, tools, and experiences come together seamlessly, balancing deep user empathy with system-level thinking.
You’ll work closely with product, research, engineering, and cross-functional design leaders to define the north star for our experience architecture, mentor senior designers, and ensure our design system continues to evolve with elegance and rigor.
You’ll also have the opportunity to lead and develop a small team of designers while influencing design quality and strategy across the broader organization.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The salary for the role is $181,000 to $311,000.
