Skills
- PhD or equivalent research track in EE, Applied Physics, CS, or Applied Math
- Proven experience building and training large foundation models
- Hands-on experience with FNO and/or other neural operators
- Practical understanding of EM solvers (FEM, FDTD, MoM)
- Strong software skills: Python plus PyTorch or JAX; C/C++ for bindings and performance
- Track record deploying physics-constrained ML or scientific simulation into production
Responsibilities
- Research and design multiscale neural operator architectures (FNO/AFNO/Deformation-FNO/U-FNO) with embedded physical constraints
- Implement passivity/causality enforcement and uncertainty calibration in learned EM models
- Specify and curate proprietary training data coverage targets and interface with hardware-in-the-loop test campaigns
- Orchestrate solver farms and synthetic data generation with Platform Engineering
- Develop sim-to-real calibration workflows using VNA, near-field, BER and other measurements
- Build automated accuracy, constraint evaluation suites and own model releases and reporting
- Profile and optimize inference latency and throughput for production deployment
- Author design documents, experiment reports, and mentor research/engineering teams
Education
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Applied Math or equivalent research experience
- Strong publication or industrial research record in EM/ML or scientific computing
