Fraud, Payments, and Risk Manager

Role and Responsibilities

As the Fraud, Payments, and Risk Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fraud detection and prevention strategies to protect the business and our customers

• Manage all payment processing activities, including card payments, e-wallets, and alternative payment methods

• Oversee payment reconciliation, chargebacks, and refunds to ensure accurate accounting and reporting

• Continuously monitor transactions and player behavior to identify anomalies and suspicious activity related to potential money laundering

• Implement and manage AML compliance programs, including KYC (know your customer) processes and reporting

• Collaborate with the technology team to implement robust security measures, risk management tools, and responsible gaming controls

• Assess operational risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and work cross-functionally to implement risk controls

• Prepare detailed risk, fraud, and AML reports for executive leadership and regulatory bodies

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, compliance requirements, and best practices in fraud management, payments, and responsible gaming

• Mentor and train other members of the operations team on fraud detection, AML, and risk management

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a fraud, payments, AML, or risk management role, preferably within the online gambling, fintech, or e-commerce industry

• Strong understanding of AML regulations and best practices, including KYC procedures and suspicious activity reporting

• Familiarity with responsible gaming principles and the ability to implement controls to promote healthy player behavior

• Comprehensive knowledge of payment processing, card networks, and alternative payment methods

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and risk indicators

• Experience implementing and managing fraud detection, AML, and responsible gaming tools and technologies

• Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and presenting complex information to stakeholders

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and make data-driven decisions

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of security, compliance, and risk management

• Nice to have: Sift, GeoComply experience
