Location Software Engineer - Test
Description
The Location Software Quality team undertakes special projects for the Sensing and Connectivity groups at Apple. These projects have ranged from developing data crowdsourcing systems to prototyping apps & features for future OS releases. We are looking for an engineer with deep understanding of GNSS technologies and the possibilities such technologies hold for improved positioning and Fitness use-cases. You will work closely with developers and other cross functional stake holders to understand the features and use data-driven test results to influence and craft the end product. You will use your programming skills to automate test processes, data analysis, and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of solid understanding of GNSS/WiFi or other location technologies Deep understanding of QA methodologies and automation strategy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with or designed automated build & test systems 2+ years of experience writing Python code Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools Ability to drive cross-functional communications, understanding dependencies while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers. You have worked in fast-paced, agile environment, and can pivot easily to support new user requirements Strong mentoring skills and a commitment to team development
