Skills
- Hands‑on experience with the Appian low‑code platform
- Strong SQL and relational database design/data modeling skills
- Experience building and consuming APIs (REST, SOAP) and JDBC integrations
- Familiarity with object‑oriented concepts and software development practices
- Knowledge of software testing practices and CI pipelines
- Proven ability to mentor and lead small teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication and client‑facing skills
- Comfort working in agile development environments
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage small technical teams through full project life cycle for post‑sale implementations.
- Define and document client business processes and translate requirements into Appian designs.
- Design, develop and deploy Appian applications including data models, interfaces, and process flows.
- Develop integrations and APIs (REST/SOAP/JDBC) to connect Appian with client systems.
- Collaborate with client technical teams and business users to drive solution adoption and self‑sufficiency.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants and promote best practices and code quality.
- Work within agile frameworks (standups, pair programming, sprints, planning) and participate in CI/testing workflows.
- Support deployments to production and provide up to 20% travel to client sites as needed.
Education
- B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field
- Relevant industry certifications or enterprise platform training considered a plus
