Skills
- Proven software project management experience, including scheduling, risk, and budget oversight
- Domain understanding of imaging software, sensor technology, and hardware-software integration
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub for tracking, documentation, and source control
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills
- Analytical problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
- Experience managing multi-team releases and coordinating cross-functional dependencies
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan for Wisp software across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define objectives and deliverables aligned to mission needs and ensure alignment across sub-teams.
- Maintain deep technical understanding of Wisp hardware-software interfaces and imaging domain requirements.
- Oversee release planning and execution, ensuring quality gates are met and coordinating launch readiness.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation, technical specs, and user-facing materials.
- Serve as primary project communicator to internal teams and external stakeholders; provide regular status, risks, and milestone reports.
- Allocate and monitor resources (personnel, hardware, software), adjusting plans to mitigate bottlenecks.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies with chief engineers, and update the risk management plan.
- Manage project budget, track expenses, and provide financial forecasts and cost-benefit analysis.
- Facilitate cross-functional integration with other divisions to ensure compatibility with the broader software ecosystem.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Formal training or certifications in project management recommended (PMP/Agile) preferred
