Senior Software Engineer - Web Backend Systems
Skills
- Proficiency in modern web frontend languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Strong backend programming skills in C++, Rust, or Golang.
- Knowledge of client/server networking, including TCP/UDP/Multicast, HTTP (REST), and protobuf/gRPC.
- Experience building high-traffic, data-intensive, or map-based user interface applications.
- User empathy to translate user needs into practical software features balancing engineering constraints.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy real-time, map-based user interfaces for sensor data visualization and control of Altius aircraft.
- Define foundational software architectures, visual designs, and user experience workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, flight test engineers, and end users to refine software capabilities.
- Utilize web frontend technologies like TypeScript/React and backend technologies such as C++, Rust, or Golang.
- Test software rigorously using simulations, hardware benches, and live flight tests.
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
