- Proficiency with MATLAB and Python for data acquisition, processing, and analytics.
- Hands-on experience implementing test automation and generating automated test reports.
- Strong root cause analysis skills across hardware, software, and firmware failures.
- Experience integrating electrical, opto-mechanical, and firmware/software systems.
- Familiarity with test instrumentation (power supplies, thermal chambers, data acquisition sensors, spectrum analyzers).
- Experience with MES and creating technician-facing work instructions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute production test activities and maintain test flow on the manufacturing line.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrared, electrical, and firmware issues discovered during testing.
- Create and maintain clear test work instructions in MES and train technicians on equipment and procedures.
- Develop a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides and diagrams.
- Develop and maintain software for test automation, data analytics, and automated report generation.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCCA) for product failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Support customer returns, failure analysis, and collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Contribute to early-stage test design for NPI and optimize test strategies to reduce cycle time without compromising quality.
- Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure measurement precision and reliability.
- Document and analyze test data, producing detailed reports and recommendations for product improvements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required).
