Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) strategically support the adoption of Alcon products by facilitating evidence generation, scientific exchange, and gathering insights to inform product and market understanding. They deliver unbiased medical information through presentations to healthcare professionals, payors, and internal teams, while collaborating across functions to achieve medical objectives. MSLs also address escalated medical inquiries from healthcare providers.

The Regional Director Surgical Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) is a Fort Worth based member of the Medical Affairs team. This role is responsible for all field‐based medical affairs activities comprising a business region and leads a team of Medical Science Liaisons. The role reports to the VP of Medical Affairs in Global Medical Affairs. This role is responsible for significant business impact including continued support of clinical data generation to support the portfolio, high scientific presence at major customer‐ facing congresses and scientific support of all key surgical and glaucoma customers across the region. In addition, the role is responsible for effective customer‐facing communication, medical presentations and dissemination of scientific materials across the entire region. Further, the role is directly responsible for business performance elements of the Region’s Executive Leadership Team such as scientific Share of voice and competitive clinical evidence generation. This individual serves as field coach and lead, to achieve results and Alcon’s key performance indicators, while maintaining an enterprise mindset, strategic agility and business acumen, with the highest integrity.
