Lead Automation Engineer - RPA

Akido is a fast-growing, impact-focused healthcare company rebuilding the care experience using SDoH-informed interventions, predictive analytics, and human-centered technology. We are seeking an experienced Automation Manager to lead enterprise RPA strategy, design scalable automation solutions, and drive measurable efficiency and quality improvements across business functions.

Skills

  • Proven leadership delivering enterprise RPA solutions with measurable ROI
  • Hands-on experience with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate
  • Strong process optimization, governance, and change management capabilities
  • Experience managing distributed automation teams and vendor relationships
  • Familiarity with integrating AI/ML and process mining into automation pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end RPA and automation projects from opportunity identification through deployment, optimization, and governance.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, ROI, and KPIs to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and conduct workflow assessments.
  • Standardize and optimize processes prior to automation to maximize value realization.
  • Establish governance frameworks, compliance standards, and documentation practices for automation initiatives.
  • Monitor and optimize usage of RPA licenses, platforms, and infrastructure for cost efficiency.
  • Plan and oversee POCs for new automation and cognitive technologies, integrating AI/ML and process mining as appropriate.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the RPA team (solution architects, developers, business analysts) based in India and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance during issue resolution and ensure timely problem handling.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred
