Skills
- Expert SQL and modern data modeling (dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Strong BI and dashboarding experience (Looker, Omni, Hex, Tableau, Mode)
- Experimentation design and analysis (Eppo, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly; scipy, statsmodels)
- Proficiency with Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) and GenAI tools
- Deep understanding of product analytics: funnels, retention, growth metrics
- Experience with event tracking frameworks and taxonomy design (Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4)
- Data instrumentation, validation, and data quality best practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, and storytelling with data
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain core product data pipelines across dbt, Looker, and Omni ensuring reliability and scalability
- Build and refine dashboards for self-serve, real-time insights on priority product areas
- Design, analyze, and communicate experiments that inform product strategy and executive decisions
- Partner with product and engineering to define tracking, implement instrumentation, and validate data
- Deliver company-wide strategic analyses that connect user behavior with growth opportunities
- Collaborate on the analytics roadmap and prioritize initiatives to scale product analytics capabilities
- Mentor junior team members, create documentation, and scale analytics best practices
- Support end-to-end analytics for product launches, including post-launch impact measurement
- Migrate engineering dashboards to Omni or Databricks to enable self-serve analytics
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics/statistics, or related field required
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred but not required
