Job Description

AECOM Hunt is looking to grow our Digital Engineering team with the addition of a Data Engineer.  This position will work in our Phoenix, AZ office.  

The Data Engineering Specialist will:

 

  • Ensure data is accessible, reliable, and efficiently processed.
  • Combine, optimize, and manage multiple big data sources.
  • Create automated reporting systems.
  • Provide software solutions that move data from its source to an internal database such as data warehouse/data lake.
  • Implement data frameworks and/or architectures.
  • Design, develop and maintain data pipelines to enable strong data analysis and reporting
  • Utilize a myriad of solutions to ensure problem resolution with data warehousing and data sources.
  • Escalate unsolvable problems beyond individual knowledge and scope to senior level employees

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS Computer Science, Information Science, Data Engineering or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data programming languages
  • Knowledge of data optimization tools, data structures and architecting, data warehousing solutions
  • Knowledge of API (application programming interface) support to allow for data access/gathering/distribution, data transformation and ELT (extract, load, transform)
  • Utilization of algorithmic and statistical assessments, data processing tools and approaches (including AI) in support of data consumption.
  • Strong experience in creating resourceful dashboards which effectively represent data from various data streams such as using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics development.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and analytical databases.
  • Proficiency in Python (or similar scripting language).
  • Familiarity with programs such as CMiC, Workday, Oracle, Bridgit Bench, SmartRecruiters, Blue Beam, Navisworks or other construction related software.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
