Risk & Payments Analyst
Skills
- 5+ years experience in payments, risk, payment performance, or data roles within the payments industry
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to engage customers and cross-functional teams
- Advanced data analysis skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (Looker, Tableau preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to synthesize complex topics and present insights clearly
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, global, cross-functional environments
- Understanding of payment risk management and optimization strategies
Responsibilities
- Partner with commercial teams to showcase Adyen’s value proposition and drive adoption in merchant engagements
- Leverage data-driven insights and collaborate with Data Analysts to inform merchant conversations
- Lead high-level discussions with existing and prospective customers and provide tools/training to commercial teams
- Provide internal guidance and direct merchant-facing payment optimization support across risk, authentication, tokenization, and authorization
- Deploy and analyze optimization playbooks across the customer portfolio using existing tools
- Identify upsell opportunities for Adyen products (e.g., Protect, Uplift) and translate data insights into value propositions
- Build and maintain scalable analytical frameworks, dashboards, and tools to deliver actionable insights
- Operate autonomously with a global perspective and provide consultative guidance to high-value customers
- Develop subject-matter expertise in a core payment optimization area (risk reduction, conversion uplift, cost efficiency)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or related field preferred or equivalent practical experience
