About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead to take ownership of end-to-end testing for their complex web and backend systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on QA professional with deep expertise in both manual and automated testing, capable of leading quality initiatives, defining QA processes, and ensuring high-quality releases across web, SaaS, and backend applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end QA for web and backend systems, ensuring robustness, reliability, and performance.
• Design, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test suites (UI, API, regression).
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or TestCafe.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to identify issues, improve workflows, and ensure high-quality releases.
• Investigate production issues, reproduce bugs, and partner with developers to determine root causes.
• Own and enforce QA processes and best practices, driving continuous improvement across teams.
• Define, track, and report quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release readiness.

Technical Requirements:

• 7+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing for web and SaaS products.
• Hands-on expertise with at least one automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, TestCafe).
• Experience in RESTful API testing (Postman, Newman, or similar).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong familiarity with SQL and backend data validation.
• Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Linear) and test management tools.
• Advantageous: Experience in travel tech, booking systems, fintech workflows, or payment systems.
