Building Security Manager

Meet ACQ:

At Acquisition.com, we’re a team of entrepreneurs on a mission to make real business education available to everyone. There are 34 million small and medium businesses in the United States. They’re the backbone of the economy, but many will never reach their full potential because the education available to them is outdated, impractical, and built for classrooms instead of companies.

We’re fixing that by giving founders and business owners the tools, knowledge, and support they need to grow. The proof is in our results:

  • Built an Advisory Practice that’s already served more than 3,500 clients in its first year

  • Broke the world record for non-fiction book sales in 24 hours with $100M Money Models

  • Scaled to nine figures in 18 months without any outside capital

We believe in high standards, hard work, and helping others win. If that resonates, you’ll feel at home here.

Role:

Are you ready to lead a dedicated security team while actively protecting a dynamic facility environment? At Acquisition.com, we're seeking an experienced and strategic Building Security Manager who will provide hands-on leadership to our Building Security team. This is not a desk job—you'll work security shifts alongside your team while developing their capabilities, establishing operational standards, and ensuring the safety of our facilities.

Our company is built on core values: Sincere Candor, Competitive Greatness, and Unimpeachable Character. As Building Security Manager, you'll embody these values while leading your team to do the same. You'll be responsible for both the strategic direction and daily execution of building security operations—setting the standard through your own performance while coaching and developing your team members.

The Security Team's primary goal is to ensure and enhance the safety and well-being of the Founders of Acquisition.com, employees, guests, vendors, and VIPs while also safeguarding the integrity of the building itself.

As Building Security Manager, you will lead by example, actively working security shifts while simultaneously managing team operations, developing protocols, conducting training, and coordinating security requirements for company events. Building Security operations have significant downtime during shifts, which provides ample time to fulfill both active security responsibilities and managerial duties. You will be responsible for maintaining the physical security of both people and facilities at Acquisition.com Headquarters in Las Vegas, NV, while building and developing a high-performing security team that meets the company's standards for professionalism, physical readiness, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Active Security Operations

  • Greet all visitors, guests, and vendors, implementing enhanced security protocols during major events including L1, L2, and L3 events, including baggage checks and use of metal detection devices

  • Work scheduled security shifts alongside team members, demonstrating proper protocols and professional standards

  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, ensuring prompt response to any irregularities

  • Secure all entry and exit points, granting access only to those on the designated list

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property, both inside and outside the building

  • Provide a vigilant security presence to ensure a safe and secure environment at headquarters

  • Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, and facility issues, providing aid as needed and ensuring proper documentation

  • Maintain professional, courteous interactions with employees, guests, and vendors at all times

  • Manage collection of packages, deliveries, and mail, ensuring appropriate team members are notified

  • Maintain calm and professional demeanor when interacting with agitated or aggressive individuals

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Building Security Specialists to build a high-performing security team

  • Redefine the Building Security Specialist avatar and establish clear hiring criteria that reflect required physical fitness, professionalism, and operational capabilities

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide coaching, feedback, and performance management

  • Implement and maintain comprehensive training programs including firearms qualification, first aid, CPR, de-escalation techniques, and customer service excellence

  • Ensure all team members maintain required certifications and complete re-qualification requirements every six months

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development within the security team

  • Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans aligned with company standards

  • Address performance issues decisively, including establishing and enforcing standards around professionalism, phone usage, physical fitness, and operational conduct

Operational Management

  • Create and manage security team schedules to ensure adequate coverage, adapting to changing business needs and major events

  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all security functions including access control, incident response, emergency procedures, and visitor management

  • Oversee daily security operations and ensure consistent execution of protocols across all shifts

  • Coordinate enhanced security requirements for company events with Events Team, Facilities Team, and Office Management

  • Maintain and manage security equipment inventory including firearms, metal detectors, first aid supplies, and communication devices

  • Accurately complete detailed incident reports and ensure team members document incidents properly

  • Utilize Google Suite and other tools for scheduling, documentation, communication, and reporting

Strategic Planning & Coordination

  • Conduct regular security assessments of facilities, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios

  • Collaborate with Director of Events & Venue Operations to anticipate security needs for company growth and events

  • Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services

  • Coordinate with Facilities Team on access control systems, CCTV infrastructure, and physical security measures

  • Support Executive Protection requirements as directed

Results:

  • A highly trained, professional security team that consistently demonstrates competence, reliability, physical fitness, and alignment with company values through your direct coaching and leadership by example

  • Comprehensive security coverage with all shifts adequately staffed by team members who meet established standards for professionalism and operational capability

  • Clear, standardized security protocols that are consistently executed across all team members, with you setting the standard through your own performance

  • Enhanced security preparedness for major events, ensuring smooth operations and positive experiences for guests and participants

  • Swift, effective response to security incidents with minimal impact to operations and comprehensive documentation

  • A welcoming yet secure environment where all individuals entering the premises are properly vetted and professionally greeted

  • Reduced security risks through constant monitoring, vigilant presence, and deterrence of potential threats

  • Professional, respectful interactions that reinforce the company's image while maintaining robust security standards

  • Continuous improvement in security operations through your hands-on involvement, data analysis, and process optimization

  • A security team that embodies the physical readiness and professional conduct required for emergency response
